Description
Jeevan is a fellowship-trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specializes in knee surgery. He completed his Specialist Orthopaedic training from the East Midlands (North) training programme and then completed his fellowship training at The Royal Derby Hospital where he developed his skill in managing complex patients with early onset degenerative problems in the knee. His surgical profile in managing these problems consist of both joint preservation surgery including meniscal and cartilage preservation and joint replacement surgery including uni-compartment replacement surgery. His NHS practice is based in Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust where he also runs an acute knee service, managing patients with knee injuries including Anterior Cruciate Ligament Surgery.
Jeevan has published several peer-reviewed articles in International journals throughout his career and has presented his work internationally. In addition to being faculty for several prestigious International Orthopaedic courses, Jeevan also runs the Chesterfield Sheffield and Derby FRCS Clinical Examination Course. During the 2 days of the course, UK and International candidates preparing for their upcoming exit exams before becoming Consultants have the opportunity to experience examining up to 150 patients from all Orthopaedic specialties including rare paediatric cases from Sheffield Children’s Hospital. The course is regarded as one of the best course on the yearly calendar for orthopaedic surgeons preparing for their consultant exams.
