Nicole Abdul graduated from The University of Sheffield in 2011 after completing her Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery, along with an intercalated Bachelors of Medical Sciences for which she was awarded 1st class honours.
Nicole then spent 2 years completing the Academic Foundation Programme in South Yorkshire before being awarded run through training in Orthopaedic Surgery on the Academic Clinical Fellowship pathway in the North East of England. Nicole became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2015 and is now a senior registrar in Orthopaedics. In 2018 Nicole was awarded a Masters in Clinical Research with merit from Newcastle University.
Nicole has presented her research at national and international conferences, received awards for her work, had her work published in peer reviewed journals, and has authored textbooks in Orthopaedic surgery.
Nicole has gained leadership skills through serving on various committees, her last position being deputy chair of the British Medical Association’s Academic Subcommittee. Nicole enjoys teaching and has done various placements abroad. When she is not working, Nicole enjoys fishing, shooting and baking
